Tufts Women in Technology (WiT) is a student organization that
hosts annual tech conferences celebrating women and nonbinary
individuals in technology. During the summer of 2024, I worked
within the WiT Design & PR Committee to develop promotional content
in preparation for their event. This year's graphics followed a
theme of retrofuturism.
All design work displayed are solo projects
assigned and carried out by me, with the exception of the crown
illustrations on the Sponsor Tier Sheet as well as the 2024 WiT Logo.
SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS
The graphic I created [shown as a gif on the left-most side] set the visual direction for our social media presence that year. To introduce our team, I designed retrofuturistic covers featuring space-themed icons—each with a number of astronauts matching the members in each committee.
MY IMPACT: Sponsorship Increase
This annual conference aims to exceed the fundraising achievements of previous years. One of my initial tasks was to redesign the Sponsor Tier Sheet so that it may better reflect sponsorship deals and set a precedent for the rest of our designs.
Within half a month of this new design being released, $8K in funds were reached, seeing a 15% increase in sponsorship between the months of May to June as compared to the year prior.
